Spewing forth from the gutters of Oakland, CA, in 2024 with their debut album Land of Fear, Nighthämmer delivered a speed metal blow to traditional 2nd wave Scandinavian black metal as they forge a new aural weapon, killing the weak and smashing the false. Composed of members from Yarrow, Cartilage, Atone, Bob Plant, and False Figure, these darkhorse veterans are embarking upon a new frontier of black metal with their second album, S T R U G G L E R. Cloaked in Darkthrone attitude and wailing with Mercyful Fate falsettos, Nighthämmer’s focus on Razor styled riffs, thundering splatterpunk rhythms, and stupefying live performances vaults them to a peak on which they alone reside. It is from this glowering mountaintop that they will hunt the disloyal, purify the faithless, haunt the false, and dominate all other realms of evil with their blistering Power Black Metal.
